Photo Hosts

Just out of curiosity what are the settings on photo bucket. i just found out that on flikr you can store more than 200 pics but can only access the last 200. also whats their rule on posting pics without it going back to its original page. i think the way i have been posting from flickr is not allowed so i am thinking of changing hosts. this is the reason i have credits for storage in my SIG.

ANYTHING???

I use photobucket and payed the premium fee, I'm not sure on the storage size but it's pretty big, I have close to 1000 images online and some are full size. Plus I don't have limited bandwidth.

Just check account for curiosity and I have 10GB of space. Costs $20 for the year.

I use a combination of Shaw's photoshare and photobucket (just the free account - I'm less than 1% of the limits of the free account anyhow). The limits for the upgraded account are awesome. I checked though and for me anyhow it's $40 for the year, not $20, maybe those who upgraded early enough get a grandfathered rate or something like that (or the renewal fee is less than the initial fee).

The Shaw photoshare is OK. I figured if I pay Shaw for internet I might as well use some of their services. I like photobucket a little better for the ease of interface to forums and html and so on, but like I said if you're on Shaw you already have this available to you so what the heck, why not. If you're on Shaw check it out @ photoshare.shaw.ca .

Every time I see a link to flicker is spams me with popups. I don't even look anymore.

I use Photobucket Free and again have a ton on pics up there with no worries of running out of space. But if I had to I'd pay the $20 well worth it

Yeah I just checked the renewal fee and it is $40, I remember it being $20 back in May so either I can't remember or they increased it. Either way I'll still renew, not really for the space as much as for the ability to upload larger images (5MB instead of 1MB). Plus I like to support systems I use regularly and didn't like all the adds.

Either way photobucket is the way to go.

$40 is still not unreasonable for what they give you, that's for sure.

I second Photobucket, I use the pro account and it's quick and easy.

I'm a premium Flickr member and I think I pay $25/year. As far as I know there isn't a storage cap at all.
