Blue gorgonian.
Here is a pic of a blue sea fan that a Vancouver wholesaler sent me. Really awesome blue.
I'm told it's an acalycigorgia sp. gorgonian, photosynthetic. Makes me wish I had room in my tank!! http://www.islandreef.ca/post/blue.jpg |

Hi Brad. I don't think its photosynthetic though. Some info I found:
http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/sh...=acalycigorgia http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/sh...ht=Anthogorgia http://reefcentral.com/forums/showth...hreadid=266933 http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/p...22&pCatId=1160 http://www.reefsource.com/Species%20...T/bluegorg.htm Here's mine. I just got it so polyps haven't fully extended yet. I think these guys might be difficult to keep. I haven't found a lot of info out there yet. http://www.hyperdream.com/~samw/reef...00_img_std.jpg http://www.hyperdream.com/~samw/reef...g_crop_std.jpg |

I had a frag of one  but I lost it fairly quickly :frown: . I was told that they are not photosynthetic. I was feeding the tank DT's and some German brand of Invert food along wit my regular feedings.
The parent colony was I beleive around $180.00 and a mounted frag of it was $30.00. I took the gamble and lost. It was pretty awsome while it lasted thought. Dave |
