cleaner shrimp gone HELP - did anenome eat

i have a reef tank with two cleaner shrimp and a fire red and one pepermint.

today, i noticed that both cleaners were gone. i could not locate them in the tank anywhere. the fire is still good and the pepermint. just the two cleaners missing.

there is no sign that they died as i dont see them or body anywhere.

i went to the pet store and he told me that my annenome may have eaten them. is this true?

he also told me that if they were not eaten, that they may have gone to hide under a rock to breed. could this be true?

I doubt that the anemone has eaten them. MY cleaners are able to run into the middle of my Condy and are forever stealing food. They might have found a safe place to hole up while they molt. Or one of your fish might have had seafood for lunch :shocked!:

i only have 2 occ clowns. one blakc occ clown. a small watchman goby and a scooter blenny. will any of these eat shrimp?

i have not seen them in two days now or more. is this normal for them to go to a rock and hide for days?

I have had mine disappear for days at a time, shortly after i find them as well as a empty exoskeleton. I would say they are just molting.

I had three and I have no idea what happened to two of them. Mine does not hide that much after molt and I have similar fish to you. There is no way too know how old they are so could be old age.

No they are gone. Unless your fish are real mean, but I don't think so.
