Injured/diseased moon coral?

Anyone know what's wrong with my moon coral? The white-brown spots showed up about 2 weeks ago, and have grown more and larger since.

Thanks,
Nevin

Almost looks like mechanical injury to me. The surrounding flesh looks pretty good albeit a little lacking in color.

I was thinking maybe a little critter is in there?

I would take a guess at it not getting enough light.

I don't think much can be done, just wait to see if it repairs itself.
sometimes corals receade because of lack of food, doesn't look like the case here so it should grow back.

further info

I'm pretty sure it's not a lack of light. It was fine for a few months under 65w PC and now it's directly under 175w halide in less than 12" of water.

I'm not sure if the torch coral stings, but it would have to reach almost 6" to get some of those spots.

Colour is a bit pale, but not as bad as it looks in the picture.

Might try target feeding.

Thanks for the ideas!

Regards,
Nevin

How did you acclimate it from PC to MH lighting? Perhaps some kind of shock?
