I have just recently setup a 70 gallon reef tank. I know that bropwn algae is to be expected in the beginning (new tank syndrome) but it is growing on my my sand any solutions??? :question:

Hey Rick
Any type of bottom sifting fish like gobbies also help aid in cleaning up brown algae as well as cerith snails. Time is the biggest factor like Wendal said though.

I dont think gobies would be a good idea in such a new tank. Prety sure the gobies are sifting for bugs and such living in the sand. Just leave the sand be.
