The X-FLO uses hydraulically engineered, flow velocity changes to optimize waste-removing bubbles. By creating distinct areas of fast and slow-moving water, a true counter-current condition is created within the reaction chamber. The bubbles are "charged" with more dissolved protein, resulting in efficient removal of waste materials for optimum water quality. Special wide base design reduces discharge velocity to produce a "stilling" action that prevents air bubbles from entering the aquarium. The X-FLO Venturi Protein Skimmer measures 9" x 9" x 23" high.
