Chip Inside of the Tanks

Hello,

I have been offered a tank for free ! but it has a chip on the inside corner :bad-word:. It's the size of a dime roughly. Should I clean it and apply aquarium sealant? or would this be considered a weak area which may crack?

Thanks

did it have water in the tank already?
If it hasn't how long has the tank been out of water?
If it has been filled with water. then i wouldnt worry about it.

It's a 33 gallon, it hasn't been used for about 6 months.

Just fill it up in the bathtub and wait! :)

Thanks for the tips, i thought about just leaving it in the tub for a couple days but was more concerned about holding water for longer period.

It's just a 33g - my advice, buy a new one. Why risk 33g on the floor over >50$?

Wouldn't hurt to clean it, and fill with silicone.. just to help reinforce it.. then test in the bathtub.
