thickness of Glass

Hey guys I wanted to build my own tank and I just wanted to know what the thickness of the glass for a 60"l x 18"w x 24"h sized tank should be. the guy at the glass store that 10mm glass should be fine. Is he right??

my tank is 10mm, it is 36X24X24. I think you will be fine as long as you brace it good.. but if I were building it I would go to 1/2" just to be safe if it isn;t to much more.
