Iwasaki 175w on pulse start ballast?
 

Does anyone know if an Iwasaki 175w 15k bulb will fire properly and burn normally on a 175w magnetic pulse start ballast?

Stircrazy is the one to answer this. But FWIW, I think I read once that probe start lamps start OK on pulse starts. Ie., they just start using the pulse instead of the probe. I might be stretching it now but I think I even remember reading that the pulse starts are easier on the probe-start lamps. So a pulse start lamp has trouble on a non-pulse ballast, but a pulse start ballast can fire either.
