Suggestions Anyone?

I have set up a new tank about 4 days ago and waiting for it to cycle, I have a 24 Gal. Nano Cube and just use the current 3 compartment filter system in the back with carbon. I was looking into a protien skimmer and with out installing a sump (which I will not be doing for a few years until I upgrade to a bigger tank). Does any one have any experience with the "oceanic protien skimmer" for 14-29 gal tanks (The Smallest One).

Should I buy one of those smaller skimmers or would it be better to upgrade my filter system to a canister and not bother with a skimmer for now?

Thank You all

I think a lot depends on what your bio load etc will be and what kind of nano tank you want to keep. I use a skimmer on my sps 24 gal nano but I've stopped using one on my 14 gal nano. I know a few people with nano's that don't use skimmers but do regular water changes instead, and their tanks are very nice.

I haven't heard anything about the oceanic nano skimmer so I can't help you there. Sorry

you might be just fine with regular water changes.

cheers

you should take a look at the DOC 9002, its a nano skimmer i think good for tanks up to 45 galons.. its super quiet and doesnt release any micro bubbles... the best part is how tiny it is...
