Awesome guys, yes I managed to work on my pony this summer - '69 Mach 1. I did order a Shelby GT 500, but when it arrived they re worked out to be almost 20k over what they said when I ordered :twised: Love the Foose wheels by the way Dave, was thinking those ones on mine. I'll try and post a pic of mine when I get home.

No pictures online because when I had it, it was the age of the dinosaurs (the 80's  and early 90's ;) ) but my first car was a '67 Mustang. Although your cars would run circles around it, I'm sorry but it was still just way sexier still than any of these ones. :p

Gave it away in a moment of weakness (was a stupid student, had no money, economy was in the toilet, nobody was buying old cars, it needed body work done that was beyond my means at the time, etc. etc.). :( Sighhhhhhhhhh.

That was like cashing in your RSP early.

I guess. I literally gave it away - I paid about $4k for it in grade 12, sold it for less than $1500, 4 or 5 years later. Same thing is worth about $20k now (at least last time I looked into it). And that's not including looking at things like fastbacks or convertibles. Who knew.

But I did sell it in the idea that I was letting it go to a better owner who could care for it "more better" than I could at the time. It's like selling the tang that's outgrown the 30g and it's going into a 240g. You're sad to let go but you know you're doing the right thing by letting go. At least that's what I keep telling myself..

Ya it was a little pricey to add the foose 20" wheels, but I am really happy with them. I got the Foose Nitrous Legends, deep dish! Added about 25 pounds to the car over the stock wheels.

I picked them up from KXwheels in Surrey BC along with Falken 452 rubber. They are staggared also, 245/35/20 up front and 285/30/20 on the rear.

Have also added a Steeda CAI with a 94 octane tune. Will be adding 4:10 gears in the spring.

Pretty much the two most expensive hobbies that exist - reefs and cars!!!

If you do an attachment, you can click on the paper clip a second time (it might show up as "manage attachments") and then it will insert into the post. It's a bit goofy but not everyone will be able to see it. Only those that login to the same URL that you do will. Ie., if you login to "www.canreef.com" those who login to "canreef.com" won't see it and so on. Guess it's a cookies thing.

Another thing you can do is sign up for a free photobucket.com account (or the like), upload the picture to there and then you can link to the photo there. photbucket even tells you what to insert into forum posts for inline pictures - it's pretty convenient.

...

Anyhow, nice classic Mustang. 1965, right?
