Need help

 My toadstool leather coral has attached itself about halfway up the stalk to a peice of live rock. I guess it kinda swung over and was resting on it for a couple weeks and I didn't notice. Can I pull carefully to remove or might this injure it. The base of the coral is attached nicely to a different rock. The area attached looks to be about 1/2 inch.
I Would appreciate your comments.

If the attached patch is small as you say, and the coral is large and healthy, I would gently pull it off. I had a Colt/Tree coral do the same thing, and there was some slight injury, but it healed over pretty quickly.

Unless you want to let it go and see what happens...

I agree, it isn't a problem. It will collapse for a bit while it gets over being angry at you....

If there is visible goo/slime, run some carbon for a bit, and depending on tank size, possibly a water change.

 Thanks for the reply, I carefully peeled his stalk from the rock. It left 3 small gashes, not to severe. He has been a little weak and lookin kinda sorry since, but I feel it will be o.k.
