Pairing clowns need some info?
I got another black clown and right now the male is in a acrylic box in the main tank. How long until I can let him out? Is there a way to tell?
The male is a bit smaller and both are healthy and captive bred anyone have some pointers for me? Thanks PS moving the rocks is a no go and my tank is not that big. They will go into my 60 when I get it going. |
If the clowns are not showing any aggression to each other there should not be any problem. I have put a small clown in with a larger one(ocellaris) without separating them for a while and though there was some chasing it was not a big deal. Hopefully one is quite a bit smaller than the other, then there is no arguing on who is in charge. Let us know how it goes.

So there was a bit of chasing and fin flapping but in the end the female made the male submit.
Thanks for the info. http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/g...ewclown107.jpg |
Nice looking pair! I seem to have a weakness for black fish..

I am glad things worked out well. Hopefully in a few months you have eggs!
