FS: Macro Algea

Available selection includes but not limited to: Halimeda, Chlorodesmis sp., Gracillaria, Chaetomorpha. these are all decorative exporting plants that don't take over your tank. only Halimeda roots and spreads, but is easily controlled. I have many other types of very cool algae that is unnamed and i can post pictures if you wish. Caulerpa is also available, but is best used as a tang food IMO since its tenancy to go sexual after a while can cause problems for some.
Macro algae frags are only 5$ each or i will trade for coral frag(s).
Shipping across Canada available, but local pickup preferred.
Caulerpa and Halimeda is now available in quantities large enough to feed tangs, and other vegetarian fish and inverts.
you can leave a post, pm, or contact me at 250-554-8061 ask for matt

Can you post your tank specs: lighting, circulation, temp, filtration/skimming, and any fertilization scheme? I have tried growing various macroalgae and other than caulerpa and chaetomorpha I have not had much luck.

Dutch tank 110G: 600GPH Turnover + 850GPH powerhead, 4x54w t5's 2-10k daylights, 2-Actinics.
Sump 125G: 2x 600GPH turnover from return pumps + 450GPH powerhead, 2x54w t5's 2-10k daylights.
temp is very steady around 80, no filtration other then micron socks and macro algae export, no fertilizer other then nitrates and such from my 120G display fully stocked. the only additive i use other for then calcium or magnesium is called ignite from Seachem which is a amino acid and trace element supplement.

Thanks Matt. Enjoyed meeting with you, very informative. Healthy tanks. Even my clowns were chomping on the food. All the critters on there I guess. Thanks again.
