Coral ID please
 

Sorry to be such a newb, but I am trying to get an ID on this mushroom coral I purchased in terms of its common and latin name (if possible):

I really like to study absolutely everthing I can and having a name to Google will go a long way:biggrin:

It's about 2" in diameter and has a lime green color around the base of the "cap".

It could be just me...but that looks like a toadstool ? not a shroom..

Yup...toadstool (sarcophyton sp.)

Toadstool, mushroom... it's all fungus :razz:

It looks to be a toadstool leather to me too, so probably sarcophyton sp.
