Had always wondered if would work (guess would if south), lots of pictures, here

Yeah it helps to live in San Antonio, where the sun shines hot all day.

it could work for those who live in the prairie provinces where they get sunny days in the winter too but not sure how you can get the snow to melt off the domes. I think the BC coastal folks are out of luck on this idea.
