April fools
well I came home from work today and both my heaters were on for some reason and the temp was at 103.8 degrees f. everything is sliming and looks bleached.. I found the cause of the heaters.. the remote sensors had come out of the tank and were in the air path of the fan.. I have the tank cooling down but I seriously doubt anything is going to make it.. 2 fish are almost dead and the rest are lathargice and breathing rapidly.. all the corals are closed and sliming..
any ideas on what else I should be doing? I have 50 gal of water mixing right now for a large water change.. Steve |
Steve that's ****in' terrible. I don't think there's much you can do other than some water changes, carbon and let the temperature come down slowly.
Let me know what you need...
got an air pump?? Put the pump outside and pump cold air thru an air stone. IT'll help the fish.
ahh cool, just set that up.. I had the air pump going in the stand to add O2 already but the cold air sounds better
