Cooling Fan

Anyone use the clip on cooling fans made for aquariums? If so do you know of any canadian suppliers? My new tank runs very hot because of it being closed in with a 6 bulb T5 fixture. I'd like to keep the decorative hood on the tank so I was thinking fans would be a good option and cheaper than a chiller.

Tagging along on this one...would love to know if there's even a decent US supplier.

Profilux makes "breeze fans" which seem to be what you're looking for.

haha...okay, so what I meant to say was something that didn't require a controller nor a second mortgage...haha.

I saw those fans but still seemed a bit pricey. There's some on EBay from reefshops.com but I was hoping I'd find them within Canada or even better in Edmonton.

Those fans do not require the controller, they can be used in a stand alone setup. They are pretty expensive but I would image they are quiet and designed to work in humid and salt environments. Computer fans are not designed for that.

Oh, I didn't realize you could run them independantly. I found it on Progressivegrowth's site but it stated that it needed the profilux controller.
