Lighting for tank.

Hi,

I bought a Coralife Aqualight Pro 36" HQI (36" X 15") and I have a 55 gal tank (48 1/4 x 12 3/4 x 21").
I was wondering if this would be a possible reef setup?

The light has a different width than the tank. I can hang it over but it seems like it dosen't suit the tank.

Does anyone have this light? and what size tank are they using?

im using a 36" PC on my 90 gallon tank works fine halides are much brighter you should be ok
