Infection/Disease ID please

I just picked up some black clowns and as I was watching them I noticed there was some white fleshy stuff around his left eye. Does anyone know what it is? How to cure it?

Don't know what it is, but when my clown looked sick with something similar I soaked his food in garlic for a week and it cleared up on it's own. Worth a try.

Will the 2 species not fight? your resident clown looks pi$$ed!!

It looks like some sort of a fungal thing, I'd put him in QT to treat him if I was you - it may just clear up with a little garlic and good diet but not if the other clown is picking on him.

good luck!

Yes, they have been chasing each other around a bit. I use to have 2 black/white ocellaris with 2 orange/white ocellaris and they got along fine without fighting. But I lost the 2 Black/white clowns to a tank crash. Before buying them again I asked about it and he said that it should be fine if I got a bigger one. I guess if the chasing doesn't stop then I'll have to trade them in.
I will try the garlic method. Thanks!

Those look like the saddleback variant, I had a pair but sold them as they were the absolute meanest fish I had ever owned... They look small yet..but I wouldn't try to keep them with other clowns. There could definitely be some biting going on..

those clowns are going to killing each other. Its best if you get rid of one of them.

Yeah, those are not B&W occelaris :( He should credit you if he sold you the wrong fish.

Really? Boo that sucks. The sticker on the tank even said Black Ocellaris. So I have 4 tank bred Orange/White Ocellaris and the 2 new Black ones. Who would be the aggressor long term? Right now the Orange/White Ocellaris are doing all the chasing. But they all sleep close to each other at night.

Juvenile B&W occelaris: (adults are usually a solid black and white)

saddleback clown:

Look at the differences in the caudal, pectoral and dorsal fins, hopefully this helps determine what you've got.

I'm not sure who would ultimately win but from my understanding the occelaris are one of the wimpier clowns.
