(Free) Red/purple macroalgae
 

Not sure what this is. It just started growing one day. And growing, and growing and growing. It's kind of neat, I like it, but it's far too big so needs to be pruned. My tang likes it but not enough to justify keeping the football sized clump that I have free floating.

Anyone want it? Man I hate chucking stuff, so I'm compelled to ask if anyone would like some before I consider garbage-canning it..

Note that it does have some aiptasia growing in it. We can pick those off before sending it home, or we can dangle it in my 75g and let my CBB have at them (I'm sure he'd not complain).

It shows up in the picture as red but in person it's more of a maroon/purple colour. Sorry the picture sucks. It looked like it was in focus when I took it. I swear my camera is messing with me.

Got another big piece of this - guessing about 8"-10" by 4" by 4" roughly... Currently floating in my sump, anyone want it? If not I'll likely toss it in the garbage...
