Testing calcium levels with API test kit question

I have been using the Api test kit for measuring calcium levels I find it fairly easy to use .
Here's the question . I have always counted the number of drops of reagent #2 and used this number to convert to the chart to get the amount of calcium in the water . Ie : count 22 drops of reagent #2 added to the sample and therefore the the chart says I have 440 mg of ca ... great .
On my last trip to the local reef shop I was informed that you must also add the 10 drops from Reagent #1 to the total count which puts my Ca level way over 600. Ie 10 drops of #1 and 22 drops of #2 =32 drops
I have emailed api 3 x with this question and they do not respond. Anyone out there familiar with this test that can let me know which way to count the drops would be greatly appreciated

I just got confirmation from Api that you only count the number of drops form reagent #2
