Camping...Firewood...
 

Does anyone know the best place to buy fire wood in Calgary? Best = cheap :D

Look on Craigslist or other website. The Vancouver one has free firewood positings several times a day, most days it seems. People cut down their trees & don't know what to do with the wood usually.

El G...just camping at Maclean Creek.

When my buddy and I used to go dirt biking out there we would just take a chain saw with us and stop at one of the piles of cleared wood on the side of the road and cut up our own. It doesn't take very long, 1/2 hr tops.

just cut the dead wood up with a chain saw, there is lots out there

its actually illegal to burn dead fall, so dont get caught. i really dont know of anywhere in town check the newpaper in the classified. i know a good place out by drum i wheel barrel full $10

Not within the forestry reserve it's not. You're just not allowed to take wood home with you unless you buy a firewood permit from the sustainable resources dept.
