Where would you buy your glass today?

Is there a particular glass shop you have dealt lately with that understands salt tanks and has good prices in Edmonton area? We are intending to have the glass cut and sanded to size and assemble it ourselves. (We are thinking 48"x24"x24").

In Vancouver, I've priced it out & it's not cheap. for 8 mm, it would be about $427 for the glass & for 6 mm, it would be about $250 or so. That's including glass for an external overflow box (6mm).

Our solution is to get recycled window glass for the non-viewing sides & overflow and only buy new 8mm for the front and sides. Each piece of 4'x2' 8mm was quoted at $92. Ouch.

48x24x24 is a fairly standard size tank. You may be better off just buying a new tank.
