how to get rid of xenia

What is the best way to get rid of some of this coral or (weed) it grows on everything it touches. Scraping the rock just makes smaller pieces that grows elsewere Are there any idea's on removing it?

I don't mind having some but also I have a container of it too but it is under control.

Gently peel off the rock using something like a dental pick. It will all come off and not regrow.

Fluke tabs will kill ot off completely but hard to get in Canada. Perhaps try introducing a CBB and it will most likely eat it. (and your zoos)

xenia grows rampant? is it hard to keep under control? I was planing on getting some Pumping Zenia here soon.

Xenia doesnt always grow out of control. Given the right conditions it can overrun other corals. Best thing to do is just cut off pieces and attach them to LR rumble and trade them, they alway seem to be in demand.

I say copperband wont do a thing.. If you have sps tank then low low nutrient tank will kill em off.. They like high nutrients!!!

I don't know I've seen that stuff thrive and grow in sps tanks with next to no nutrients at all. Xenia's nice to look at but can turn into a plague real quick lol. Maybe take the rocks with it out frag them up and sell them.

You can peel it of the rocks and it still goes back even in a low nutrient sps tank.

Snappy is right I had a rock that was covered i peeled it off and its growing back its really hard to get it gone. Unless you have something that will keep it low trimmed.

well they like nutrients so I guess those sps tanks really were not low nutrient.
