where to find octopus skimmers?
 

which lfs's are currently carrying these or occasionally order them in? while we're on the topic I'd like to hear some comments from those who are currently running them, what skimmers are they comparable to? thanks-

I have two, I've been running one for 6 months and its pretty good, and I just picked up a second one for my new tank build. Smaller skimmer, the one I've been running lately is a NW-200, and the new one I got today is a DUAL Recirculating DDNW-250. Both mine came to be second hand, so I'm sorry I don't know where you can find them.

Downside of the NW-200 is that it needs a bit of a kick start to get going, you need to actually start it going by pushing air into the body. I'm not sure if this is normal on all of these skimmers.

I know nothing about the DDNW-250 other then the fact that it is a huge monster-like beast!

I believe Saltwater connections in winnipeg has them. (i think)

thanks guys hopefully i can get my hands on one of these in the couple weeks, looks like no sign of them in lower mainland so far :neutral:, i saw these skimmers in action on a few sites and was amazed
