Meet Molly!
 

This is Molly. The new addition to our family. She is an 8 week Beagle, which is a big change for us as we've always had boxers. We lost "Ozzie" (flashy fawn boxer) last October to boxer heart syndrome. He was only 5 yrs. old.
Anyway, I've been doing some research on Beagles and would love to hear from other owners as to personality, training, etc. I know they can be stubborn little buggers, but she sure is cute and friendly!

You might want to invest in some ear plugs for your neighbours :lol: . The only thing worse then a beagle voice are bassets and blood hounds.

I think you'll also find her a wee bit more independent then your boxers but the ones I've met have been wonderful dogs although prone to food fixation and obesity later in life

Yes, I've read that, so we're keeping a close eye on her diet. I've already noticed the independence thing. She's perfectly happy to explore around the house on her own, even though she's only been here one day.

On a side note isnt 8 weeks a little early to seperate from there mother, i though 3 months was the limit.

Our vet says 8 weeks is OK. She seems fine. Eats well, plays well, sleeps well, bites my feet well, chews my slippers well, pees on the floor well. :mad:

Too cute, my step-daughter and her hubby have a beagle named Molly (they got her at 8wks too) and then about a month later added Bruno to the mix (beagle too). They are wonderful pups, but are very mischeivious when left alone. (I can laugh it's not my house, LOL) Molly & Bruno arent very vocal, bu do speak when asked.

She is sure cute. 8 weeks is common now instead of 12.

We are on the list for a midsized Austrailian Labradoodle. The mother is expecting later this month so we should have the pup early July.

Are those the allergy-free dogs I've heard about?

Yes and no. Depends on the coat - their are 3 types, and the F factor (pedigree) of the parents.
