Purple Goniopora Question.
How easy to take care of??..What food. light etc do they require. Flow??
|
Gonioporas are hard to keep as a general rule of thumb. They are a medium light LPS that may require feeding or nutrients in the water rather than the superclean, low nutient SPS conditions. They also seem to like flow. Hope that helps.

Thanks Anthony....

Oops, thought you said gorgonian instead of goniopora.

+1 with anthony. Seems the real key to these guys is always making sure they have food in them. Keep in mind though, that even a lot of the most experienced of reefers call gonioporids a waste of money. I think there's better options out there.

I have pink with blue mouth....
I have a colony of pink with blue mouths. When I first got it there was a sore in the middle of it. I just left it for a while but the sore was growing and would soon have taken the whole thing down! So I fragged it a couple of months ago and now all is well. The healthy chunk I was left with is doing extremely well! Out all the time and starting to grow like crazy. I feed almost every day, lots of light, good flow. Now it is one of the my favorite corals in my tank.
