Censorship

Can posts and/or replies get deleted by moderators with no explanation as to why? Just curious.

Pan 03-15-2008 05:01 AM

Yes

Yup. Has happened before and I'm sure it'll happen again. Maybe even tonight, lol. I like to stir the pot on occasion. The only post I've had binned was not well thought out. It was derogatory to a celebrity and in no way would I consider it censorship. I posted it late one night and got up in the morning to change it and it was gone. I talked to the mods and actually apologized for it, way out of character for me.

cencorship

yes i have had mine censored too but i have to say mine wasnt outa line with my beliefs but they are just too rednecked for this sight and i guess thats the the way they want to play it well thats up to them its all part of being a free socity i guess as long as they dont ban me for my point of view i guess i just have to play by there rules :)

Official answer is yes, if we feel a post has no place on the board/thread, violates board rules or otherwise is meant to distract from the enjoyment of the board. An example is today I removed some smart *** posts in someone's for sale ad. They weren't buying or asking any pertinent info, and were therefore removed.

Interesting. This board has changed in the year I was gone.

I've only been here for about 6 months. What's changed? I find it a friendly, respectful community. Some sites aren't that friendly, and don't allow for exchanges contrary to their mods, this one does. Please explain your last comment.

Actually, that has been our policy for many years now.
