Anyone have a fish trap - GVRD?

It would appear that I'm going to have to remove a fish from my system. I'm wondering if anyone in Greater Vancouver has a fish trap that I can borrow for a brief time? The trap needs to be large enough for a 6" fish.

I dont have a trap, but im just curious as to what fish is getting the boot.

Have you considered trying a bigger version of the bottle trap?

ahhh nevermind i just saw the ad for your trigs. shame, they're beautiful fish. Another thing that people have success with is fishing them out using a barbless hook... depends if you're comfortable with trying that though.

I've thought about catching them with a hook, but I'm concerned that they'll swallow the entire hook. I at least have to try the trap first.

Hi Brad

I have a home made fish trap that has worked for me in the past. You are welcome to borrow it.

Do you think a 6" Triggerfish will fit into it?

It will be tight but should work.

Thanks...I give it a try. PM me with your weekend schedule and I'll drop by and pick it up.

Brad.
