Nusiance Algae Id
 

I have some nusiance algae in the tank and I need to know what it is and how to get rid of it.

Description:
Looks like dark red cotton balls.
Grows individually or in groups but does not for a mat
You can pick a colony off with tweezers
The inside of these balls look fibreous

Any ideas

Try some red banded turbo snails, they seem to like the stuff. I'd look it up for you but my fish books are all boxed up at the moment. Its in Reef Invertebrates by Calfo if you have it.
