My 155 bow build (finally)
 

So, seeing as how the basement is finally nearing completion i have decided to begin the necessary framing for my stupidly complex setup i have been dreaming about since 2000 when i caught the bug. The plan is to have the bowfront as the center display with a custom 22 gallon tall tank i made to the right of it as either a anemone or quiet tank. Above the 22 gallon is to be a fuge which will supply the main tank or side tank or maybe both. Next to the fuge is a surge tank which will empty into the large tank. I hope to have a automatic water top off plumbed from the house which will be difficult to run with a surge tank (think i will have to wire up some time delay relays or something). I am a huge fan of DIY and so i have already scratchbuilt my kalk reactor and calcium reactor. Progress will be slow as i return to school for my next level of electrical training in a few weeks which means the funds will be limited for a while. Here's what i have built so far.

You can see my tank in the background, the entire cabinet will be over 6' tall and about 8' long. Stay tuned, i plan to put in a few hours every weekend on top of finishing the basement.

I'm interested to see this surge device. Any updates?
