Brown strings from the mouths of my mushrooms

Two of my mushrooms have produced stings of some sort from their mouths tonight. They are brown in color. Does anyone know what this might be?

If it was coming from my pond fish I would have known what it was. Do mushrooms really do this?

usually means stress, or not enough or to much light.
water change is your best friend.
