Not recommended really. Even if the tang is a juvi.

Personally, I was advised not to keep one by many different sources in my old 60 gallon unless I was prepared to move it into a bigger tank later on.

I hope not to offened but, IMO a nano tank is no place for a Regal Tang.

I was so temped when I had my 60 gallon.

Especially when you see them only an inch big in a LFS - way too cute for their own good! lol

????????? LOL. Well i found a guy thats selling a 60g tank and a 60g sump in my area. I think i'm going to get that. Would that be good for a regal tang or is that still to small?

Regals get big, and poop a lot. I have one in my 90, that I bought as a quarter sized baby, he has grown to over 3" long in just 7 months. If I had the proper space I would go with a bigger tank but I am confined to my 90 at least until I demo and redesign the basement.

For most tangs they say a 90 is really the minimum. It seems that lots of people keep them in smaller tanks, they just don't talk about it for fear of the tang police.

Have you looked at the links from VFX? Believe they were attached for you as they have recommended min tank size.

I have a Regal Tang in a 180 and it's still too small for it. Not a fish that adapts well to captivity IMO, even though I bought it Toony size (it's now about 7"). I would never get another one.
