Cuttlefish anyone?
I have some extra cuttlefish eggs. They are nice and plump and may hatch out anytime now.
Willing to trade for frags or WHY. I would gladly post some pictures but i cannot figure out how to reduce my images to within the forums guidelines. I Will give one egg to the first person to help me reduce my pix.LOL |
Reducing your pic size
Teejay
I reduce my pic size by emailing them to my self through hotmail. It turns a 2 mb pic into a 40 k pic instantly. Then I can post them. If you need anymore help let me know. Just out of curiousity how much are you selling eggs for. I too live in langley. It would be a nice addition to my nano tank. Thanx Sean |
Thanks for the advice Sean,I will try that.
If it works you are the proud new owner of a cuttlefish egg. I would like $5 ea. for the eggs.Once they hatch out. the price will go up significantly. |

What do you do when they hatch? How do you raise them and what are the tank requirements?
|
I am interested in one of these as well. What species are they?

Tagging along.

cuttlefish
I would be interested as well but have a question. Are they reef safe or not? What are their food requirements and tank size recommendations?

re: cuttlefish
I would reccommend everyone go to tonmo.org and read up on cuttlefish. Depending on the species you will need at least a 30 gallon tank maybe 100+ gallons. You will also need it to be basically a species tank as they will eat anything as even close to their size. You will also need to wean them onto dead food because as babies they will need live food. If you want to know how I know all this. I received 3 cuttlefish eggs, and they all ended up disappearing, apparently my pistol shrimp ate them.
