A new reef related disaster
I got out the Christmas card stash and all of the envelopes had self sealed. :twised:

dam time for a dehumidifier
|
Ah, to only have that much humidy in the house. Even with my tanks, a humidifer on the furnace and a portable humidifer upstairs I can barely keep the humidity above 35% in the winter :(
|
you need bigger tanks then.
|
You don't want humidity over 35%! Everyone keeps remarking how humid my house is and it's only 35% ish in the winter - and it's only that low because of the HRV. Before that it was a nightmare of wet windows, brown and black mould spots on walls, window frames and ceilings.
If a house is used as a grow op, they condemn the house because the humidity's caused too much mould damage ... I'd hate to find out how a typical reefer's house compares. I think the grow op houses are worse ... I hope anyhow!! ... |
I will admit that my basement where I have my tanks stays a little higher ~40% but I just cannot keep the rest of the house up.
I have such bad excema that the winters here just kill my hands. |

At what level is the humidity to high. I watch my humidity and it is always 45 to 55%. The humidity outside today is 85% and it is raining.

Good thing my house has plenty of "natural ventilation" and I mean plenty!
