Dumb question about lights
 

If you buy a mh fixture rated for hypothetically 250w can you put say 175w lamp in it or no? Hate to embarass myself with such a dumb question, but hey, lol :redface:

The fixture (for single ended bulbs) will be interchangeable, for the most part. The ballast must be matched to the bulb for it to work correctly.

dont be embarrassed man. it would have been dumb to not have asked and tried it and blew up a new bulb.
