An Inconvinient Truth
Who has seen it? You owe it to yourself to see this movie. I'm in shock, I never knew the facts until now. It's insane!!
|
I want to see it, I'm guessing from your post that I should.
|
It really is a great film. I am guilty of having no interest in making a point to see it. It came on TV and I watched it, and I am glad I did. Sends a hard serious message that needs to be heard, and one that is often ignored. Just see this movie, you'll be glad you did.

Hey Scott, there's another thread in the Lounge about Global Warming as well. It was started by trimpellepimp (lol) or something and another member, Pinhead, makes some interesting points about climatologists and facts regarding global warming.
I think it will give you several hours of fun reading through it. |
Probably would have found that thread in my original search if I spelt Inconvenient correctly!
Thanks. |
Please note below is my own opinion only and I apologize if it seams strongly worded.
The author of this film is Not an honest man. He fired his chief scientist for being in disagreement with his theory. Every major point in this film is flawed that is why Al Gore would Not debate with any scientist on this topic, he was invited many times and refused. I have a radio interview with climatologist with really good points (crashing all Gore's points) just about that issue and I can send it to anybody in MP3 format on CD for free (shipping included) if interested. What good about this film, is that it’s a very nice PowerPoint Presentation and very expansive one indeed. I agree that there is a global worming, that we need alternative energy and efficient cars etc. or burning of fossil fuels is ancient technology, I agree with all that; what I am trying to say is that ALL planets in our solar system are worming up including Pluto (!). There is no SUV’s on Pluto and Mars is there? LOL so why are the polar caps melting on Mars and Pluto? Global worming IMOHO is Not human caused even though I agree that we do contribute to that. Thank you for bringing that up. |
There is another interesting thread on this topic from a month or so ago.
In that thread I made the point that politics was taking precedence over science, and instead of open discussion and scientific debate, anyone who disagreed with the global warming dogma was personally attacked, vilified, and bullied into acquiescence. An interesting article I read the other day said that all the efforts towards improving energy efficiency and fuel economy in vehicles have been futile. Although average gas mileage has improved drastically since the 1970's, people are driving more kilometres and there are more vehicles on the road, with the net effect being an increase in gasoline consumption. |
And they gave him a Nobel Peace Prize. I find it hard to listen a politician tell me anything. It seems like its always about money with those SOB's. I heard that Gore charges 100 grand for a speech on climate change. :turn-l:

Exactly ! Good point. It is so hard to believe in what major media and politicians are saying because it is all controlled and biased. Just depends on who is paying. Today is much easier to believe self funding researchers and entrepreneurs (like, Bigelow for example) at least they say what they believe and no one is controlling that. Main stream media should be asking many important straight forward questions but DO THEY ? All we get in the news is Paris Hilton and Trump LOL. |
Its on par with micheal moore movies for fact.
PS.... I hate al gore.... and david suzuki |
