Crysis Screenshots (OMG!)

I've been playing crysis the past few days. Thought I'd put up some screenshots cuz the game's absolutely AMAZING! I love the gameplay a ton and the graphics are just so immersive.

Took the screenshots myself. I play it at 1024x768 with hacked config files to get "DirectX 10" graphics using DirectX 9 in windows xp. I play with graphics like below at about 20-35 frames per second.

PC Specs:
Windows XP
Intel 6750 Core 2 Duo Overclocked to 3.32 ghz
Geforce 8800GTS 320MB
2GB DDR2 overclocked to 1067mhz

pretty cool. my room mate's putting together a danger den water cooling system in a stacker case. I've only got a thermalright massive mofuggin' ninja tower style heatsink on my cpu. Good enough for me considering my 320mb vidcard is now the bottleneck. Decided on it vs the 640mb to save $80 or so. Back when I got it the 320mb was scoring higher on the benchmarks anyways but now that crysis is out the 640 performs SO much better.

oh well. can't expect to keep up really.

Ownage.

I beat the game in about 11 hours on Delta. The Core is the most annoying level ever.

What are your graphic settings at?

Seriously, look at the 8800GT. It's trumping both the 320 and 640mb versions of the GTS, and can be had for ~$300. Or wait for a used 8800GTX from someone who's going to a 9800GTX.

I've found with my 8800GTX, 4GB ram and a Q6600 I have no issues playing it at 1920x1200 with all the goodies turned on and settings on high.

I'm running 2GB because my cpu's overclocked and I wouldn't be able to run my RAM at the same timings with a stable overclock if I had 4GB.

I run most everything on very-high through config editing and at 1024x768. Good enough for me. I don't have another $900 to get a faster vidcard, more AND higher quality ram, AND a faster CPU because I wouldn't be able to overclock. My entire system is performing pretty good considering what I paid for all the parts before overclocking it. I was just griping because I KNEW one of the components I bought would be replaced with something WAY better within 3 months. Just didn't know it would be the vidcard. Seemed like the 8800GT came right outa nowhere.

It did.

FWIW, you can get a 4GB kit of OCZ DDR2-800 platinum with 4-4-15 for $140 after a $30 mail in rebate...
