live rock

I was wondering if live rock that has been in a tank that has been coppered is ever safe to put in a reef tank.Any thoughts would be appeciated

I dont think so man. The copper should have leeched into the rock, and will destroy your reef tank.

I wouldn't risk it.

if you want a tank that will never have any crustacenas, it should be okay. and by never, i really do mean never. not worth it imo.

rock

Thanks for the advice. The rock was in a fish only tank that was coppered over a year ago.I might be shutting down my fowl . 255 gal. as I have 2 reef tanks to take care of.It has 250 lbs of rock in it.With hope the person that buys it takes the rock for a fish only

i dont mean to be argumentative (is that even a word?) but i dont see the point in testing water for copper. the copper is in the rocks and leaches over time. you might not even detect copper with a dinky hobby kit, but it's still there in the rocks.
