Percs stopped eating

Hi All,

I've got two Percs, one for 4 years, one for 1 year, that host in a large colt in my tank. Normally they come out and eat anything I put in but about 6 weeks ago they stopped. They basically stay in the colt and ignore any type of food I put in. Could they be guarding eggs or something? They don't look sick and haven't starved yet. They are only a little slimmer than normal so they must be eating something but I never see them out of the colt anymore. There have been several water changes over this period and everything else in the tank seems happy. Any thoughts as to what may cause this?

Thanks,
Scott.

no idea what caused that, other then they might have eggs, it does fit, but they have found some other food they prefer at the moment *douptful but possible* or a mix of the two possibilities

Has anyone noticed if their clowns stop eating if they're guarding eggs? (BTW, I can't find any eggs so I'm only guessing)

My clowns have a batch of eggs right now and that hasn't stopped them from eating. The male especially seems a little less willing to leave the eggs but both were eating whatever came close enough.

Unfortunately I don't have any ideas on what may be causing their change in behaviour.
