Paypal E-checks

Hey guys, do any of you use Paypal frequently?

I've been paying by withdrawing money from my Checking account and the bloody thing is just taking too damn long to clear. I also added my credit card to my account as a primary source.

Does it take less time if I pay by Credit Card using Paypal? Right now I have a Checking account payment that's waiting to be cleared and it'll take about 12 days (wtf?).

Any input will be awesome.

I'm not sure where that comes from, I thought there was a 5-7 day thing. I use paypal only occasionally now that I learned to use email money transfers. Actually when I use paypal to pay for something it
seems to happen right away. When it's the opposite, I have to wait.

Although I might be confused at the moment, lost lots of sleep lately over
computer problems...

Ya, I pretty much only use paypal for online transactions now. CC goes almost instantly becasue they know the CC company will be good for it. Chequing accts, well, just like writing a real cheque, paypal needs to ask the bank if it will clear first. I pay with either my bank acct I have set up strictly for PP, which is a savings acct, or I use my CC. Depends if its personal stuff, or stuff fro the buisness on how I pay.

I use paypal and I use both Bank and CC. I don't find a difference in speed. Note paypal will tack on a 3% charge if you use CC and they charge none if you use bank option. I have a business account with paypal and maybe that is the difference.

Thanks for all the responses guys.

After chatting with a buddy that also frequently uses Paypal, I think the reason it takes so long is because an e-check can vary in time from 4 days to a highly ridiculous 12 days (even more in other cases).

I have my bank account attached but I didn't attach a Debit or Visa card thus the reason for the slow processing. I guess I'll cancel this e-check and repay with my CC which I added last night.

Thanks for all the help :D

When I send an e-check with PP, the money is usually removed from my bank account with 24-48 hours. I do agree that they suck for speed... usually when I'm waiting for one myself.
