Review: Treepad software
This is a quick little review on a piece of software I found called Treepad. I wanted something to log events, changes, test readings n such and googled for a bit and found this software to work quite well for my needs.
It's a simple database program that the company calls a "personal information organizer". Basically it lets you create notes in a hierarchical manner, so the way your own aquarium log's organized is completely up to you. You can search your entries too. Comparing it to a simple spreadsheet, it's organized hierarchical instead of in tables. This is more condusive to a "journal" style log. Plus each node gives you an entire text field to enter data, instead of a little box in a spreadsheet. It's freeware so give it a try if you're looking for a new way to log your aquarium. http://www.treepad.com/treepadfreeware/ screenshots from software maker's website: http://www.treepad.com/images/tpfw/tpfw702.gif http://www.treepad.com/images/tpfw/tpfw_search.gif |
