Son Agro 430 watt ballast Question

Just wondering whether 3 Son Agro 430 watt ballasts will fire up simultaneously on a single 15 amp circuit. I see that each ballast runs at 4.55 amps. That's 13.65 amps for the three. Will I require extra amperage at start-up or is the quoted amp draw for start-up.

Thanks,

Andy

Depending on the brand of Son Agro, the start up is between 2 and 2.5 amps. but I think the problem would be running at almost 14 amps for a extended period of time.. that might be the iffy area.

I have found many 15A breakers will trip closer to 12A. You would also run it hot and it will then start to act up on you. I would go to a 20A to be safe. Your wiring must also be rated for 20A so don't just change the breaker, you could be starting a fire then.
