I actually saw it happen
 

My cleaner shrimp molting... about an hour after lights out he was pirched up high on my toad stool - he looked like he was digging, then it happened, it was quite interesting, he pulled his "mask" forward slipping his head out the back, then jumped out of his pants.... sorry for the lame description.

I thought it was very good description, it made me smile anyway :mrgreen:

I never get to see mine molt,,I only get to see the "exoskeleton" stuck to a filter intake or a powerhead!
