Are Serpant Stars Asexual?

Because I noticed what looks like two baby serpants, just saw there teeny prickley legs poking out from behind the LR. Looks to be about 2" diam. I have only had one serpant for about a year.

sea stars do it both ways. asexual or sexual, whatever suits the occasion. so I wouldnt be surprised if the new stars are the offspring... you wouldnt be the first. another possiblity is that the "new" stars hitched in on rock but you just havent noticed until now.
