mixing salt

Is it alright to mix two different types of salt?
I have a new brand of salt and I have asmall amount of ocean pure pro, I just need to know if it will do anything.

I wouldnt risk it. smal amount of salt is not worth small risk imo.

Shouldn't make any difference at all. Just be sure to check you levels before you add it. Lots of people mix 2 different types of salt in order to get the levels they are looking for. For instance one salt brand might have high calcium and another alk. They combine the two to take advantage of the different make up of the salt.

I did not think it would be that much of a problem. It is actuall almost a whole bag of ocean pure pro, I just need rto raise the level of the salinety a bit. Thanks ruth for the vote of confidence and I will mix the salt.
