We have received Rose line wrasse Cirrhilabrus roseafascia in both the BC locations! This fish is beautiful! a pair is available in Richmond and a Male in Burnaby. This is a new fish being collected for us out of Vanuatu at approximately 280 feet! They are feeding well already and the males are about 4+ inches!

That is a sweet looking fish! Too bad your not in Calgary.
|
That is a beautiful specimen. Is it reef safe or better in FOWLR? I know wrasses sometimes have a bad reputation.
|
Generally any of the fairy wrasses I believe are considered to be reef safe.
that is the way I understand it at least. |
Fairy wrasses are perfect reef candidates.
The main issue with fairies is that they are generally delicate, and startle easily (ie. really should have a covered tank, as they do jump from time to time). What a gorgeous fish. Were I in the lower mainland, I would already be in your store. :) |
And I would be right behind you in line!
|
Yes, this wrasse is totally reef safe. The pair in our Richmond store have been in for about 2 weeks and are feeding like pigs! Truly beautiful fish. As Tony states, yes big jumpers as are all fairy wrasse.
This fish would be available from the Big Al's in Calgary when they open later this year. Our supplier manages to collect them but not many due to the extreme depth. Most of these end up in Asia or Europe.....or at Big Al's! Big Al's BC |
