Asm G2 Mod

Has anyone moded an ASM G2?

If so i would be interested in learning some of them, as well as hearing how they improved the units skimming.

I did the mesh mod with gutter guard and like the increased and finer/smaller bubbles improving skimmate production.

I just got a new skimmer but If I hadn’t I would do the reserc and gate mods.

There is a massive thread on RC if you want to look into it further.

ASM mod

RE:G1X. SO now along with the recirc mod I decided to use the venturi pump from my old coralife super skimmer 65 for the flow pump. I can't believe how good it works. Once I hunt down some Enkamat and do the meshwheel mod I think it'll be safe to say I have a good skimmer. I don't really understand how the gate mod will better the skimmer so I think I'll leave the drain stock for now(stock seems to take care of the excess micro bubbles.) At this point I can say that any available mods seem to really benefit the asm skimmers. Don't be afraid to drill some holes. The material the skimmers are made from drills really nice with holesaws and is easy to cut threads into. If I did't wreck it I'd say most will be able to do it. Good luck.
