How many wrasses is too many?
Tank; 150g, 5 foot long, couple hundred lbs LR, 3+ inch sandbed
I have a love of wrasses.....AND with the amazing ones that J&L got in I find myself wondering how many is too many? I know it basically depends on the fish etc but a guideline from others who have many would be appreciated...please, if you don't have true knowledge or experience of my question refrain from answering Fish load right now; 3" Naso Tang 3.5" Sailfin Tang Hawaiian Flame Wrasse (just got from J&L and is gorgeous!) Solar Wrasse (just got from J&L and is gorgeous!) Leopard Wrasse Carpenters Wrasse Cleaner Wrasse Neon Goby Trimma Goby African Flameback Angel |
my thats quite the collection
I think you'd probably have to check on which genus they're from. Even though you have a big tank some wrasses that are from the same genus tend to have problems with one another, esp if they have the same shape or coloring. I have heard that fairy wrasses, being more docile, are easier to keep together than some other wrasses but this info isn't from my experience just from what I've been reading (I love wrasses too  ). |
